Below is an update on activities planned for the OMRS Canberra Conference 2025
On the Friday 26th September 2025 we will have a pre-conference visit to the Royal Australian Mint. The RAM has an exhibit on 50 years of Australian Honours and Awards, which fits our interests perfectly. We will meet in the hotel carpark at 1:30pm and either share cars or get an Uber, to arrive there at 2:00pm. This is not an organised tour, we are visiting an existing exhibit so we can be flexible. Everyone has to get themselves there and back. I am trying to arrange a tour of the mint itself but they are not answering.
Also, we are looking for some volunteers to help with running it on the day so please contact me if you can help. This includes:
- Advertising
- Supporting speakers
- Making sure everything is set up in the hotel (Keith has volunteered to help with the hotel, thanks Keith).
- Being the MC over the weekend
