The move to our new Direct Debit provider, GoCardless, for annual membership subscriptions, is progressing well.
For those OMRS members included in the transfer, as of 27 March 2026, new direct debit mandates were set up by GoCardless with member bank accounts to process OMRS annual membership subscriptions due from 1 July 2026 onwards.
The mandates will show up on bank statements as a new DD Payee titled “Go Cardless”. It will also have an alpha/numeric reference pre-fixed with OMRS, such as “OMRS-xxxxxxxxxx”.
OMRS members do not need to take any action, and no money will be taken at this time.
Do not delete or cancel the Go Cardless mandate as this will mean that your annual subscription will NOT be collected and your OMRS membership will be cancelled.
During the next stage of the process, we will complete testing and final account set ups to ensure that the correct membership DD amount will be processed in July.
Finally, for your peace of mind, remember that all UK bank direct debit transactions are backed by the Direct Debit Guarantee.
